Legacy Carports Return, Cancellation & Refund Policy

Effective Date: February 25, 2026

Because most of our products are custom-built to your specifications (size, style, colors, options, certifications, and site requirements), our return policy is different than a typical retail store.

1) Custom Orders Are Not Returnable

All metal structures sold by Legacy Carports are made-to-order. Once your order is submitted to manufacturing, it cannot be returned for a refund.

2) Cancellation Policy

You may request to cancel your order by contacting Legacy Carports in writing (email) as soon as possible.

If your order has not been submitted to manufacturing yet:
You may be eligible for a refund minus any non-refundable fees already incurred (see Section 3).

If your order has already been submitted to manufacturing, is in production, or has been scheduled:
The order typically cannot be canceled, and all deposits and fees are non-refundable because materials and labor may be reserved and/or the structure may already be in production.

3) Non-Refundable Fees (Common Examples)

The following fees are non-refundable if they have been ordered, started, or incurred for your project:

  • Engineering fees (including site-specific engineering)

  • Permit assistance / permit processing fees

  • Drawings, revisions, or plan sets

  • Change-order processing

  • Any third-party fees (city/county fees, courier fees, document fees, etc.)

  • Payment processing fees (including card processing fees, if applicable)

4) Changes to an Order (Change Orders)

If you request changes after placing your order, we will do our best to accommodate them. However:

  • Changes are not guaranteed once your order is submitted to manufacturing

  • Changes may restart lead times

  • Changes may require a new price (materials and labor costs can change)

  • Additional engineering and/or permit updates may be required and billed accordingly

5) Refunds (If Approved)

If a refund is approved under this policy:

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method whenever possible

  • Processing time varies by financial institution

  • Any non-refundable fees will be deducted from the refund amount

6) Incorrect Order / Wrong Delivery

If you believe you received the wrong structure or there is a major discrepancy from your signed order documents, notify us immediately. We may request photos and documentation, and we will work with the manufacturer to determine the appropriate resolution.

7) Warranty & Defects (This Is Not a Return)

If your structure has a workmanship or material issue, that is handled through warranty service, not returns.

Please report issues promptly with photos and a clear description. We will coordinate the proper next steps according to the applicable manufacturer warranty and your signed agreement.

8) Refusal of Delivery / Site Not Ready

If the installation crew arrives and the site is not accessible, not level, not properly prepared, or utilities are not marked (call 811 before any digging), the installation may be delayed or rescheduled. Additional trip charges or reschedule fees may apply. Deposits and fees remain non-refundable.
